About United Infrastructure

United Infrastructure is looking for an Commercial Assistant to join our team.

As part of a dynamic, fast-growing division, you'll be at the heart of nationally significant infrastructure projects that will shape the UK’s future.


Commercial Assistant Role

Key Responsibilities

As a Commercial Assistant, you’ll support the commercial team and contribute to project success across the entire lifecycle, including:

  • Contract Lifecycle Support:
    • Manage contract administration in compliance with JCT and NEC 3/4 (Options A & C)
    • Track subcontractor performance through negotiations, payments, andojaa monitoring
  • Measurement & Billing:
    • Compile accurate and timely completed works measurements
    • Execute and oversee billing processes
  • Reporting & Analytics:
    • Generate monthly Cost Value Reconciliation reports
    • Produce Earned Value Analysis (EVA) reports
    • Maintain robust commercial documentation

Requirements & eligibibility

Essential Criteria

  • Confirmed competence in NHF SoR (Standard Method of Measurement) Rates, or equivalent bespoke rate expertise
  • Experience familiarising with the construction industry
  • Five GCSEs (Grades 9-4, C or above) in Mathematics, English, and ideally a Science subject
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on Excel
  • Strong numerical and analytical aptitude
  • Empowered to meet precise deadlines while maintaining accuracy
  • Exceptional focus on detail and organisational efficiency
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication

Advantageous Attributes

  • A Level 4 qualification or equivalent related qualification
  • Basic Method of Measurement competence
  • Familiarity with construction project methodologies or experience in the industry
  • Licensed full UK driver
