Job Title: Commercial Assistant
Position Summary Join our growing team and support ** nationally significant infrastructure projects** that shape the UK’s future.
Key Responsibilities
As Commercial Assistant, you’ll assist the commercial team across project lifecycle stages:

Contract Management
- Handle processes in line with JCT, NEC 3/NE4 (Options A & C) frameworks.

Subcontractor Support
- Manage negotiations, payments, and performance tracking of subcontractors.

Measuring & Billing
- Ensure accurate measurements of completed work.
- Drive timely billing processes and completed works measures compliance.

Cost & Value Analysis
- Prepare monthly cost value reconciliation reports.
- Generate earned value analysis (EVA) reports.
- Maintain robust commercial documentation standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
Essential
- Proven experience with NHF SoR rates or similar bespoke rate systems.
- Familiarity with the UK construction industry environment.
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalents) at grades 9-4, covering:
- Maths
- English
- (Ideally) Science
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.
- Fundamental understanding of standard methods of measurement in construction.
- Numerical and analytical skills to ensure accuracy under deadlines.
- Attention to detail paired with strong organisational abilities.
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills for team/cross-departmental collaboration.
- Flexibility, commitment, and enthusiasm.
- Willingness to self-develop and expand software package knowledge.
- Valid UK driving licence for travel as required.

Desirable
- Previous construction industry experience.
- Formal qualifications related to Level 4 or above.
