The Oilfield Chemicals Commercial Advisor role focuses on fueling commercial growth across the ENSC and SSA regions, working closely with Sales, Commercial Operations, Product Line/Segment, and Regional teams to drive profitable growth, improve bid win rates, and ensure commercial compliance throughout the tender cycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating commercial and tendering activities for Oilfield Chemicals opportunities in ENSC and SSA.
- Developing and maintaining financial models to support complex tenders, pricing strategies, and profitability assessments.
- Collaborating on competitive and innovative commercial proposals, including pricing strategies and contract recommendations.
- Providing expertise on product line and market dynamics to support bid strategies and negotiations.
- Conducting commercial risk assessments while ensuring adherence to company policies, legal, and risk management requirements.
- Supporting opportunity pipeline reviews, forecasting, and tender governance processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial engagement for Oilfield Chemicals bids across ENSC and SSA—coordinating with Sales, Commercial, and Regional teams to drive high-value deals.
- Develop financial models to assess bid profitability, pricing, and long-term commercial sustainability.
- Craft and present high-impact tender proposals, pricing strategies, and contract recommendations.
- Partner with Product & Technology teams to align bids with technical and market requirements.
- Conduct compliance checks on tenders to mitigate financial/commercial risks.
- Share insights into market trends, competitor strategies, and commercial risks to strengthen bidding strategies.
- Support strategic forecasting, opportunity pipelines, and bid governance processes.
Requirements & Experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Business, or a related discipline.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in the Oilfield Chemicals industry, with a preference for ENSC or SSA market knowledge.
- Strong technical domain expertise in Oilfield Chemicals—understanding of product applications, specifications, and market dynamics.
- Proven commercial expertise in areas such as:
- Tendering, bidding, pricing strategy, and account management.
- Financial modelling (NPV calculations, profitability assessments).
- Contract negotiation and understanding of commercial terms.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to present complex data clearly.
- Strong stakeholder management—capable of collaborating across multiple functions and regions.
