About The Role

Commercial Analyst - Balfour Beatty (@one Alliance)

Location: Peterborough (Hybrid working available)

Balfour Beatty play a key role as part of the Anglian Water’s @one Alliance. The Alliance is ground-breaking collaboration between Anglian Water and eight industry-leading partners: Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO. Together, they deliver around 40% of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme, focusing on nature-based and sustainable infrastructure.

As we progress through AMP8 – our most ambitious asset management period to date – we’re delivering transformative projects from wetlands to urban drainage schemes, setting new benchmarks for environmental performance.

We’re looking for a proactive and analytical Commercial Analyst to join the Central Commercial Team, contributing to commercial performance through enhanced processes, system management, and insight-driven decision-making.


What You’ll Be Doing

Commercial Delivery & Systems

  • Support the implementation of commercial processes and systems
  • Deliver training and ongoing adoption support
  • Monitor performance to identify improvements
  • Administer key systems (FastDraft, DocuSign, Payment App)
  • Produce reports, transforming data into clear, actionable insights

Commercial Assurance & Analysis

  • Identify and manage risks within commercial processes
  • Maintain commercial templates and reporting tools
  • Support contract management and tracking
  • Ensure compliance with commercial frameworks and best practice

Who We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree-level education in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in analytical or commercial roles
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Experience within commercial frameworks
  • Ability to challenge constructively and influence decisions
  • Strong analytical capabilities with advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities
  • Problem-solving mindset with the capacity to simplify complex data
