Location: Leeds or Bristol (Hybrid) Reporting to: Head of Revenue Performance Salary: £45,000 – £55,000
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Analyst ready to make an immediate impact at the heart of our Regional Bus Division. This is more than just analysis—it’s an opportunity to shape how we grow, innovate, and better serve our customers.
You’ll turn complex data into clear, actionable insights, influence senior decision-making, and play a key role in driving commercial performance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Performance Analysis:
- Develop a full understanding of individual market performance
- Extract meaningful insights from multiple data sources
- Present and influence senior stakeholders based on findings

Strategic Insight & Decision Support:
- Advise on proactive interventions using data & analysis
- Assess new funding schemes and recommend localised strategies (continuation or exit)

Contract & Commercial Compliance:
- Ensure detailed knowledge of Concessions agreements to assist in negotiations
- Support alignment with Finance for accurate revenue allocation across depots

Ad-Hoc & Forward-Looking Analysis:
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses on Commercial priorities defined by business units
- Develop detailed budgets, forecasts, and performance reports for Volume, Revenue & Yield
About You
We’re looking for a self-motivated, analytical, and commercially astute professional with:
✔ Extensive experience as a Commercial Analyst, Commercial Manager, or similar role, with a focus on revenue and customer performance initiatives ✔ Proven track record of interacting with senior leaders, presenting insights, and questioning decision-making ✔ Commercial acumen—understanding how financial and operational factors drive growth ✔ Ability to integrate quickly and deliver immediate value in a new environment ✔ Innovative mindset with a willingness to challenge conventional approaches ✔ Exceptional organisational skills—balancing multiple priorities with efficiency ✔ Advanced Excel skills and proven experience with Power BI ✔ High resilience and self-directed initiative
