Job Description
Role: Commercial Analyst

The Commercial Analyst will provide essential analysis and insights to drive informed decision-making within the fuel division. Reporting to the Head of Financial Analysis, you will bring fresh perspectives, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to enhance our analytical processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and report on performance against planned outcomes for key strategic and tactical decisions
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to help stakeholders understand business performance, identifying potential risks
- Deliver in-depth analyses to support executive decision-making
- Develop and refine analytical models to challenge and support our growth strategy
- Challenge data sources and assumptions to ensure reporting is robust, consistent, and insight-driven
- Combine insights to derive actionable takeaways for the business
Requirements
Essential:
- A degree in Maths, Science, Economics, or a related field
- Strong analytical skills, with an acute eye for detail
- Ability to work efficiently under strict deadlines, continually driving improvements
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience collaborating within finance teams and across broader organisational networks
Advantageous:
- Technical proficiency in database technologies (e.g., MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, Tableau)
