Job Description

Role: Commercial Analyst

The Commercial Analyst will provide essential analysis and insights to drive informed decision-making within the fuel division. Reporting to the Head of Financial Analysis, you will bring fresh perspectives, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to enhance our analytical processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and report on performance against planned outcomes for key strategic and tactical decisions
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis to help stakeholders understand business performance, identifying potential risks
  • Deliver in-depth analyses to support executive decision-making
  • Develop and refine analytical models to challenge and support our growth strategy
  • Challenge data sources and assumptions to ensure reporting is robust, consistent, and insight-driven
  • Combine insights to derive actionable takeaways for the business

Requirements

Essential:

  • A degree in Maths, Science, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills, with an acute eye for detail
  • Ability to work efficiently under strict deadlines, continually driving improvements
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience collaborating within finance teams and across broader organisational networks

Advantageous:

  • Technical proficiency in database technologies (e.g., MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, Tableau)
