Permanent | Southampton Store Support Office (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Salary £45- £60k + Bonus + Pension + PMI + ShareSave + 6.6 weeks holiday

We’re now looking for a Commercial Engagement Lead to join our Commercial team—someone who thrives on turning data into insight, insight into action, and action into commercial growth.
What's the job?
The Role
This is a high-impact role at the heart of our commercial decision-making.
You’ll combine advanced analytics, commercial modelling, and strategic insight to influence key decisions, strengthen supplier negotiations, and drive profitable growth. Working closely with senior leaders, you’ll translate complex data into clear, compelling stories that shape our commercial strategy.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead advanced commercial analytics including profitability modelling, rebate analysis, and scenario planning to support strategic decisions
- Deliver deep commercial insight across margins, cost price, and performance to identify risks and opportunities
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards and reporting using Power BI and advanced Excel
- Create engaging, high-impact presentations to influence senior stakeholders and leadership teams
- Analyse vendor financials, ownership structures, and market data to inform negotiation strategy and risk management
- Oversee key commercial metrics including vendor income, rebates, contract performance, and cost movements
- Champion vendor governance and risk management, ensuring robust controls and data integrity
- Partner cross-functionally with Buying, Finance, Supply Chain, Screwfix, and Kingfisher
- Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to automate and enhance reporting and processes
- Provide strategic insight support through scenario analysis, market intelligence, and performance evaluation

What we need:
You’ll be a commercially minded, analytical leader who can operate confidently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience in Commercial Analytics, Commercial Finance, or Strategic Insight roles (ideally within retail or a fast-moving commercial environment)
- Advanced Excel expertise (modelling, automation, scenario analysis)
- Strong Power BI / data visualisation skills
- Experience analysing vendor financial performance and external market data
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable commercial insights
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with experience presenting to senior stakeholders
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and managing multiple priorities
- A continuous improvement mindset, always looking to simplify and enhance
- Strong collaboration skills and a commercially driven, results-focused approach
