Location: #remote (with regular customer travel) Reports to: Sales Manager - ELDS

About the Role
This role owns the full sales lifecycle—from identifying opportunities and engaging customers to developing proposals and handing over orders. You’ll:
- Drive commercial success: Achieve revenue targets for medium-voltage switchgear and digital integration solutions, expanding market share in critical infrastructure sectors.
- Build lasting partnerships: Deepen customer relationships by understanding needs, providing tailored solutions, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Conquer untapped markets: Identify and develop opportunities in commercial and industrial segments, unlocking long-term growth.
- Deliver technically sound commercials: Leverage tools like pricing systems and digital applications to craft competitive, accurate proposals.

Your Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Hit targets for medium-voltage switchgear and digital integration sales, balancing volume, profitability, and market strategy.
- Drive ROI through consultative solution-selling.
Customer Experience
- Nurture long-term partnerships: From first contact to order fulfillment, ensure seamless engagement.
- Resolve challenges with agility, protecting ABB’s reputation and relationships.
Sales Execution
- Plan & forecast: Maintain accurate sales plans and monitor pipeline health.
- Develop opportunities: Scour markets for hidden potential (especially in commercial/industrial sectors).
- Prepare proposals: Use configurators, tools, and CRM to ensure competitive, technically precise offers.
- Support marketing: Align communications with ABB’s positioning and priorities.
Operational Excellence
- CRM & administration: Source leads, log activity (ideally in Salesforce), and manage order handover.
- Track progress, update records, and champion process efficiency.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- A HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Specialised technical knowledge of:
- Medium-voltage switchgear (1–66kV)
- Digital integration
- Modular e-House solutions
- SCADA systems
- Proven expertise in full cycle sales, ideally in:
- Electrical infrastructure
- Utilities
- Renewable energy
- CRM expertise: Familiarity with platforms like Salesforce.
- Sharpened communication, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
Essentials
- Valid full UK driving licence (for customer visits).
