Job Description

Role Overview

As a Vice President in Liquidity Analytics within CIB Treasury, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the firm's liquidity risk management and strategic funding decisions. You will leverage advanced analytics and data-driven insights to support Markets business partners across the Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB). This role offers a unique opportunity to influence critical liquidity strategies, optimize balance sheet and liquidity usage, and contribute to the firm's financial resilience in a dynamic regulatory environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including risk, finance, and technology, to deliver actionable analytics, findings, and recommendations to senior management and governance committees.

Importantly, this role will provide you with the opportunity to help steer liquidity, funding, and profitability for a global markets franchise and build and scale our liquidity data and analytics capabilities. This role is high visibility, high ownership, and provides room to grow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and enhance liquidity risk models and analytics to support the firm's funding and liquidity management strategies
  • Work closely with Front Office, Regional Treasury teams, Corporate Treasury, Liquidity Risk Management, and others as needed to ensure liquidity stress methodology is reflective of liquidity requirements of the CIB markets businesses
  • Lead initiatives to design and deliver key stress methodology items into liquidity reporting collaborating with Product, Risk, and technology partners
  • Provide expertise and governance on the Internal JPM Stress Framework and US LCR, NSFR
  • Drive continuous improvement of analytics tools and methodologies, incorporating industry best practices and emerging technologies

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline. Advanced degree preferred
  • Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in liquidity risk analytics, treasury functions, or financial risk management within a large financial institution
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in statistical modeling, data analysis, and financial risk frameworks
  • Experience with liquidity risk regulations and frameworks (e.g., LCR, NSFR, Basel III)
  • Proficiency in data tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
