Commercial Assistant
£29,000 to £32,500 plus great benefits (Work level 6A)
Manchester city centre, hybrid working
12-month fixed-term contract
We’re looking for organised, data-savvy individuals to join our Commercial team at Co-op. If you thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and want to play a behind-the-scenes role in shaping our product ranges, pricing, and promotions, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Why this job matters
Our Commercial teams are central to delivering great value and choice for our customers while driving profitable growth for Co-op. As a Commercial Assistant, you’ll help keep systems accurate, support trading decisions, and make sure we’ve got smooth communication with internal and external partners. Your work will directly impact product availability, pricing accuracy, and promotional success across our stores.
What you’ll do
- Maintain accurate product, price, and supplier data in internal systems
- Support teams with reports, documents, and meeting preparation
- Load promotions and commercial terms into systems
- Resolve pricing and payment queries quickly and efficiently
- Track timelines, flag risks, and embed new processes
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders to keep everyone aligned
- Make sure we're compliant with legal and regulatory standards, including GSCOP
