The Commercial Department

The Commercial Department plays a pivotal role in the organisation's success by driving strategic growth and revenue generation. Comprising specialists in marketing, business development, deal execution, market intelligence, and site selection, the team ensures seamless collaboration to identify market opportunities, develop compelling value propositions, and deliver customer-centric solutions. By leveraging data-driven insights and industry expertise, the department supports the company’s mission of delivering high-quality, sustainable data centre services across Europe.

Position Overview

The Commercial Associate supports the commercial and contractual management of customer projects by assisting with contract administration, project tracking, and commercial activities. Working closely with commercial and cross-functional teams, the role helps ensure contractual compliance, maintains accurate documentation, supports change management, and contributes to the successful delivery of customer projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, Business, or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable

  • Knowledge of commercial contracting principles
  • Understanding of engineering or project delivery environments
  • Experience through internships, placements, or university projects

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation, review, and maintenance of customer contracts (i.e., NDAs, MOUs, LOIs)
  • Assist in identifying contractual obligations, risks, and key deliverables
  • Maintain accurate contract records (milestones, deliverables, and renewal dates) and document control
  • Assist with the preparation of contract correspondence, notices, and variations
  • Provide commercial support to the Sales team
  • Support change management and variation processes
  • Prepare negotiation summaries, comparison schedules, and supporting documentation
  • Research contractual terms and industry standards to support negotiations
  • Monitor project commercial performance against key milestones and support development of mitigation plans
  • Track project progress, commercial deliverables, and contractual obligations
  • Coordinate with engineering, development team, finance, and procurement teams to ensure timely customer support
  • Develop an understanding of relevant contract forms, commercial principles, and Data Centre industry standards
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, governance requirements, and contractual obligations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial processes and reporting tools
  • Build strong working relationships across multiple business functions and customers
