If so, you could be the newest addition to our team as a Commercial Business Development Manager – Midlands & South.

About the role
This role is focused on driving profitable revenue growth across the Midlands and Southern UK region by identifying, securing, and developing new freight customers. Extensive travel is a key part of the role as you'll regularly meet customers, attend networking events, and develop opportunities across your territory.
You will be responsible for:
- Identifying and securing new customers across the Midlands, London, and South West
- Managing a strong sales pipeline through prospecting and networking activities
- Conducting customer meetings, presentations, and commercial negotiations
- Promoting the full range of DFDS freight and logistics solutions
- Supporting tenders, proposals, and commercial agreements
- Building strategic relationships with key decision-makers
- Working closely with account management and operational teams to deliver customer success

About you
You'll have a proven track record in business development or sales within logistics, transport, freight forwarding, shipping, or supply chain sectors. You'll be commercially driven, highly self-motivated, and confident building relationships with customers at all levels. Experience managing complex sales cycles and exceeding revenue targets is essential, along with the flexibility to travel extensively throughout the region. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role due to the high level of regional travel required.
