If so, you could be the newest addition to our team as a Commercial Business Development Manager – Part Loads.

About the role
You'll be responsible for growing DFDS's UK and Nordic Part Load and Groupage business, with a particular focus on UK export traffic. Working closely with customers and operational teams, you'll help position DFDS as a preferred logistics partner while driving profitable revenue growth and expanding freight volumes across the network. Extensive travel throughout the UK will be required.
You will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing a sales strategy for Part Load and Groupage services
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities across the UK market
- Promoting consolidation and groupage solutions to customers
- Building strong relationships with key decision-makers and procurement teams
- Preparing proposals, quotations, and pricing recommendations
- Managing forecasts, pipeline activity, and CRM reporting
- Working collaboratively with operations and account management teams to maximise customer value

About you
You'll have experience in business development, sales, freight forwarding, logistics, or transport services and a strong understanding of Part Load, Groupage, or consolidated freight solutions. You'll be commercially focused with excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills, able to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments. Knowledge of Nordic freight markets, customs procedures, or multimodal logistics would be highly beneficial. A full UK driving licence is essential, as regular travel throughout the UK forms a key part of the role.
