Job Description

A great opportunity to step into a high-impact Commercial Capabilities Manager role, shaping and delivering capability priorities across EPDM Retail and AFH while helping drive business performance, category growth, and customer engagement.

You will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of commercial capability programmes, developing strategic capability frameworks aligned to business priorities, tracking impact through KPIs and analytics to demonstrate ROI, and partnering with senior sales leaders across EPDM to build buy-in and translate capability plans into meaningful business results.

We are looking for someone who has worked in either Commercial/Sales or P&P roles and has a passion for people development, strong stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and change management capability, alongside the ability to use data and insight to evaluate impact and shape priorities.

In brief, you are responsible for:

  • Unlocking Business Growth: Design and deliver capability programs that drive commercial performance, category growth, and customer engagement.
  • Strategic Capability Development: Develop and implement strategic capability frameworks that align with business objectives and drive impact.
  • Impact Measurement and Analytics: Define and track KPIs for capability programs, using analytics and benchmarks to refine learning interventions and demonstrate ROI.
  • Stakeholder Management and Change Leadership: Influence and partner with senior commercial leaders to secure buy-in and resources, and act as a trusted advisor to field teams.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in a commercial role or in working with capabilities in the commercial organization.
  • Direct experience working in or with commercial functions.
  • Strong in project management and getting things done in an organized way.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent stakeholder influencing and collaboration skills.
  • Commercial mindset and understanding of Retail, Hard Discount & Away from Home.
  • Ability to organize data and turn them into actionable insights and results.

Success Measures:

  • Demonstrable improvement in commercial performance and/or growth.
  • Measurable business impact and ROI from capability programs.
  • Positive stakeholder feedback and adoption rates of key capability programs.

Reporting Line and Band:

  • Reports to Head of Talent Development EPDM
  • Location and Travel:
    • Location: Based in the UK (Amsterdam is also a possible job location)
    • Scope: EPDM Travel is flexible; role will require engagement with EPDM markets and some travel to strategic important geographies to build the relationship and attend events.
    • Please kindly note that you need to have an EU Working Permit (Orientation Year Visa not included) in order to proceed for this position.
