We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Claims Handler UK wide. This is a unique opportunity to join a forward-thinking team as a Desk-Based Commercial Claims Handler, where innovation meets technical excellence.
Working alongside the Commercial focal-point team, you’ll handle commercial property claims from start to finish, and where required using cutting-edge smartphone video technology to conduct virtual site inspections and customer interviews. Your early decisions on liability and contractor appointments will help drive claims forward efficiently and effectively.
In this fast-paced, desk-based environment, you’ll be the central point of contact for all parties involved in the claim—customers, clients, brokers, and suppliers—ensuring seamless communication and project management. You’ll oversee every aspect of the claim, from cost control to final settlement, all while maintaining the highest standards of technical quality and customer satisfaction.
You’ll be confident with technology, adaptable to change, and passionate about delivering exceptional service. With a grasp of business interruption claims and a commitment to professional development, you’ll thrive in this modern, customer-focused setting.

The skills you will have when you apply:
- Commercial Claims Proficiency: Demonstrated capability in managing end-to-end commercial property claims with precision and accountability.
- Field-Based Acumen: Prior engagement as a commercial loss adjuster is regarded as a significant professional advantage.
- Technical Competence Commitment: Evident willingness to acquire and apply advanced technical and professional expertise intrinsic to the role.
- Professional Accreditation: Ideally qualified or actively pursuing CILA to reinforce industry standing.
- Complexity in Business Interruption: Comprehensive understanding of BI claims and their inherent intricacies, ensuring robust analytical judgement.
- Adaptive Autonomy: Capacity to operate independently, exercise initiative, and maintain flexibility during surge conditions or evolving operational demands.
