The Role
Job Title: Commercial Cleaning Area Manager (Exeter & South West)
Location: Exeter (Hybrid, with WFH flexibility)
Position Type: Full-time, Hybrid Working
This key role supports multiple clients across Exeter and the South West, overseeing training, performance, compliance, and operational excellence to guarantee adherence to contracted cleaning standards.
As Commercial Cleaning Area Manager, your responsibilities include:
- Operational Leadership
- Schedule, assign, and supervise contracted cleaning teams.
- Conduct regular site inspections, assessing cleanliness and compliance.
- Resolve operational challenges proactively to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor workflow efficiency, identifying trends to drive continuous improvement.

Client & Contract Management
- Collaborate with client representatives to clarify requirements.
- Review and manage service contracts, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
- Manage regional business planning and align operational growth with strategic goals.

- Coach and develop staff, focusing on performance feedback, training, and role progression.
- Maintain team motivation and morale across diverse, multi-site locations.

Resource Management & Compliance
- Oversee budgets, human resources, and material logistics.
- Uphold rigorous health & safety protocols, regulatory standards, and cleaning best practices.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and demonstrate flexibility for site travel.
Requirements
Candidates should possess the following essential skills and experience:
