About HomeRun HomeRun is helping deliver safer, healthier and more sustainable school journeys.
Our core product, HomeRun STEP, is an AI-powered school travel intelligence platform that helps local authorities understand and plan for the school run at scale.
We are already working with 10 local authority areas and were recently recognised by Google as one of the UK's Top 30 GovTech companies using AI for better public outcomes.
We are now entering an important growth phase: moving from successful pilots and early delivery into a more repeatable national growth model.
We are looking for a commercially minded and highly organised person to help build the day-to-day sales pipeline, client success and delivery operations that will support this growth.
The role This is a hands-on commercial operations and client success role in a growing mission-led technology company.
You will help run the operating layer that turns council interest into well-managed adoption, and turns client use of STEP into stronger case studies, referrals and future opportunities. Your role will be to make sure the day-to-day commercial process runs properly: council research, lead generation, CRM management, outreach coordination, webinar operations, follow-ups, client support and use-case capture.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working across commercial operations, account management, client delivery and product feedback - and who is comfortable in a startup environment where priorities move quickly and individual ownership matters.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

HomeRun STEP gives councils a practical way to understand the problem and target action more effectively.
You will join at an important stage: early enough to have real ownership and influence, but with a product already in use by local authorities and strong momentum behind the next phase of growth.
