Commercial Co-Founder / Strategic Partnerships Lead — Precision Oncology / Biomarkers / Pharma Collaborations

Equity-based | Remote | Part-time initially

Akrivia Biomedics is developing T-OMICS™, a programme-aware multi-omic tumour-biology interpretation platform designed to support biomarker strategy, molecular interpretation, and treatment-context analysis in precision oncology. Our aim is to move precision oncology beyond isolated alteration matching toward more biologically coherent tumour interpretation — helping clinicians, translational researchers, and drug-development teams understand not only what is altered, but what the tumour is doing, why it may behave differently, and which biological contexts may shape risk, biomarker meaning, and therapeutic hypotheses.

Our first application, T-OMICS™ Breast, focuses on ER+/HER2− breast cancer, where recurrent alterations such as PIK3CA, TP53, ESR1, PTEN, CDH1, GATA3, and MAP3K1 are frequently detected but often difficult to interpret in terms of tumour programme, activity state, modifier biology, immune context, treatment relevance, and clinical behaviour.

We are now looking for an equity-based Commercial Co-Founder / Strategic Partnerships Lead to help translate strong science into strategic collaborations, early revenue, and clinical validation opportunities.

This is not a standard sales role. We are looking for someone who can help shape and open the right conversations with pharma, biotech, CROs, biomarker teams, translational oncology groups, clinical trial teams, diagnostic labs, and precision medicine stakeholders.

The immediate opportunity is to build collaborations around:

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • T-OMICS-assisted retrospective biomarker analysis
  • Trial-linked multi-omic datasets
  • Programme-aware interpretation of cancer biology
  • Pharma/CRO translational oncology projects
  • Biomarker-context analysis in ER+/HER2− breast cancer
  • External validation and clinical case-study partnerships
  • Extension of the T-OMICS™ framework into additional cancer types, building cancer-specific programme/state models analogous to T-OMICS™ Breast

We are at a stage where the science is strong, but we need someone with the right mix of diagnostics/biomarker sector experience, commercial strategy, and network access to help convert this into strategic partnerships and revenue-generating collaborations. These collaborations could also help support the external clinical validation and case-study work required for T-OMICS™ Breast.

The ideal person may have experience in one or more of the following:

  • Commercial strategy or business development in diagnostics, biomarkers, oncology, CROs, clinical genomics, or precision medicine
  • Pharma/biotech partnerships, translational medicine, companion diagnostics, or biomarker strategy
  • Selling or partnering complex scientific platforms into pharma, biotech, CROs, or healthcare systems
  • Building strategic partnerships from early-stage scientific or diagnostic technologies
  • Communicating complex biology clearly to different audiences: pharma, clinicians, investors, CROs, and translational scientists
  • Commercialising emerging life-science, AI, multi-omic, molecular pathology, or oncology platforms

What we need help with:

  • Refining the commercial positioning of T-OMICS™ for pharma, CRO, and translational oncology use cases
  • Identifying and approaching relevant pharma/CRO/biomarker decision-makers
  • Developing partnership models around retrospective biomarker analysis and multi-omic trial datasets
  • Supporting commercial conversations, follow-ups, proposals, and collaboration structures
  • Helping shape early revenue opportunities that can support validation and clinical adoption
  • Contributing strategically as part of the founding team

What we offer:

This is an equity-based co-founder opportunity at this stage, suitable for someone who sees the long-term potential of a differentiated precision-oncology interpretation platform and is willing to help build the commercial foundation alongside us.

The right person would join at a formative stage, with the opportunity to shape Akrivia’s commercial direction, partnership strategy, and market positioning.

Why this matters

More sequencing does not automatically mean more precision. Cancer is not a list of independent mutations. T-OMICS™ aims to interpret molecular data through the tumour programme, activity state, modifier context, candidate dependencies, and microenvironmental biology that shape clinical behaviour.

Our goal is to make precision oncology more biologically coherent, clinically interpretable, and useful for patients, clinicians, and drug-development teams.

If you have relevant experience in oncology diagnostics, biomarkers, pharma/CRO partnerships, translational medicine, or precision oncology commercial strategy, I would be very happy to connect.

Please apply via LinkedIn or by emailing amit.gupta@akriviabiomedics.co.uk with a short introduction and relevant background.
