We are currently recruiting for a talented and motivated Commercial Consultancy Manager to join our growing Defence team in Derby.

Working within a highly regulated environment, you will support the delivery of commercial and contract management services across complex programmes and projects. You will work closely with clients and project teams, providing commercial advice, supporting cost and contract management activities, and helping to drive successful project outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional looking to develop their career within a collaborative consultancy environment while contributing to nationally significant Defence programmes.

SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain is essential.

You'll be responsible for

  • Supporting the delivery of commercial and contract management services across projects and programmes.
  • Administering NEC contracts and supporting compliance with contractual obligations and governance requirements.
  • Providing commercial advice and support to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Supporting cost management, forecasting, reporting and financial controls throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assisting with the management of commercial risk, change control and compensation events.
  • Supporting the assessment of contractor applications, variations, claims and final accounts.
  • Preparing commercial reports, correspondence and contractual notices.
  • Maintaining accurate commercial records, documentation and audit trails.
  • Building effective working relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of commercial best practice.

You'll need to have:

  • Experience delivering commercial management services within Defence, Infrastructure, Nuclear, Engineering or similarly complex project environments.
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts and contract administration principles.
  • Experience supporting cost management, forecasting, commercial reporting and change control activities.
  • Knowledge of commercial governance, contract law and construction or engineering contracts.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
  • Current SC Cleared or eligibility to obtain it (essential)
