About the Role
Job Title: Commercial Coordinator – Senior Commercial Coordinator Support Employee Type: Permanent Location: Milton Keynes, UK
The Commercial Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Senior Commercial Coordinator by managing the Nissan business account. Your responsibilities will involve analysing commercial data, pricing strategies, and delivering value-added services to enhance profitability and efficiency.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Financial & Commercial Coordination
- Prepare, analyse, and submit design change quotations (Value Analysis/Value Engineering - VA/V&E) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) submissions for new vehicle model pricing, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
- Maintain price alignment across new model introduces (consistent costing and profitability).
- Track and improve monthly margin performance to maintain/enhance profitability.

Customer & Operations Management
- Manage trial and service part orders including internal coordination to ensure timely deliveries.
- Act as the primary customer liaison via email and telephone for quotations, orders, and follow-ups.
- Prepare commercial reports, monitor price tracking/quote accuracy, and deliver month-end summaries using Excel.
Accounting & Compliance Support
- Collaborate with the accounts department on invoice pricing validation, purchase order reviews, and zero-priced part management.
- Maintain internal auditing systems to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Business Development & Process Improvement
- Assist the Deputy Sales Account Manager in data analysis, market studies, and ad hoc business planning.
- Implement operational efficiencies across the commercial team, improving department productivity.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the line manager.
Requirements & Qualifications
Essential Skills & Experience
- Financial and pricing awareness (understanding cost control and revenue impact).
- Sales, administrative, or customer account management experience (preferably in automotive/industrial SME context).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including data manipulation, pivot tables, and reporting).
- Detail-oriented attitude, with a focus on accuracy in pricing, documentation, and reporting.
- Valid UK driving licence (essential for role requirement).

Desired Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with automotive wiring harnesses or vehicle electronics is advantageous.
