Commercial Data & Systems Analyst | London / Remote | Professional Services

Our client, an established and growing accountancy and advisory business, is looking for a Commercial Data & Systems Analyst to bring together the data sitting across Microsoft Dynamics, IRIS, Xero and Power BI, and turn it into the live, accurate view of the business that leadership actually needs.

Backed by private equity investment, the firm is growing fast, both organically and through acquisition, and this role sits right at the centre of that growth story.

This isn't a maintenance role. The firm's tech stack is well established, but nobody has properly connected it up yet, and that's the job: build the integrations, fix the data quality issues, and design the dashboards and KPIs that the COO, CFO and Head of Sales will run the business on.

You'll report directly to the COO, work daily with IT, Finance, Operations and Sales, and have the backing to bring in better tools where they're needed rather than just work around what's there.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you'll be doing

  • Owning the firm's data ecosystem across Dynamics, IRIS, Xero and Power BI, and building the integrations between them
  • Sorting out data quality and consistency issues at the source, not just patching over them
  • Managing the relationship with system vendors and pushing them to deliver
  • Building and maintaining the Power BI dashboards and reporting packs leadership relies on
  • Supporting financial forecasting and pipeline analysis for the CFO and Head of Sales
  • Being the first port of call when a report doesn't reconcile or a system isn't playing nicely

  • Experience working across CRM, workflow and finance systems in professional services, accountancy, legal or similar
  • Proven ability to connect systems together, whether through APIs, iPaaS tools or working directly with vendors
  • Strong, independent Power BI skills, building dashboards and data models from raw, multi-source data
  • Comfortable troubleshooting end to end, from root cause to fix
  • Confident enough to challenge a vendor or push back on a stakeholder when something isn't right

Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365, IRIS or Xero is a bonus, as is any exposure to FP&A, SQL, Azure Data Factory or a growing, acquisitive business.

If you're someone who'd rather build the data environment than wait for someone to hand you one, this is a genuinely open brief with real access to the leadership team from day one.
