Commercial Director

London (Hybrid)

Our housing and facilities management client is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to join their senior leadership team.

This is a high-impact strategic role, responsible for shaping commercial strategy, driving sustainable growth and maximising performance across a diverse portfolio of contracts and services. Working closely with the Executive team, you'll provide commercial leadership across the business, ensuring robust governance, effective risk management and long-term value creation.

We're seeking a commercially focused leader with a proven ability to deliver growth, improve performance and shape business strategy within the property or real estate sector. Experience gained in areas such as commercial leadership, asset management, corporate development or transactional environments would be highly valued, alongside strong commercial property expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and delivering the organisation's commercial strategy in line with business objectives.
  • Driving commercial performance, profitability and operational efficiency across a complex contract portfolio.
  • Leading commercial negotiations, contract governance and risk management.
  • Supporting business growth through bid strategy, pricing and commercial modelling.
  • Identifying opportunities for performance improvement, cost optimisation and value creation.
  • Supporting strategic projects, including acquisitions, integrations and wider business transformation initiatives.
  • Building strong relationships across Executive, operational, legal and finance teams to deliver commercial outcomes.

Skills & Experience:

  • Significant experience in a senior commercial leadership role.
  • A strong background within commercial property, real estate or the built environment.
  • Experience influencing Executive and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Excellent commercial judgement, negotiation and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong financial and analytical capability, with the ability to translate insight into commercial decision-making.
  • A track record of improving business performance, managing commercial risk and delivering sustainable growth.
