McBride Sport is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a leading elite sports organisation to identify an outstanding Commercial Director - Designate.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious commercial leader looking to take the next step in their career within one of the UK's most exciting sporting environments.
About the Role
The role will take ownership of the organisation's commercial function, leading the development and delivery of an ambitious commercial strategy designed to maximise revenue growth and build long-term partnerships. This is a broad and highly visible leadership role, combining strategic responsibility with a hands-on approach to commercial delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading all commercial operations
- Overseeing sponsorship and partnership sales
- Developing new revenue opportunities
- Nurturing key client relationships
- Ensuring existing partners receive an exceptional experience that supports long-term retention and growth
- Identifying innovative commercial opportunities across the organisation
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to unlock new income streams and maximise the value of the organisation's brand, events, facilities, and assets

Team Leadership
Alongside your commercial responsibilities, you will lead, motivate, and develop a small commercial team, creating a high-performance culture built around collaboration, accountability, and delivering outstanding results. The role will contribute to wider organisational strategy and play an influential part in shaping the future direction of the business.
Ideal Candidate
This role would suit someone who thrives on building relationships, enjoys being in front of clients and partners, and is equally comfortable developing commercial strategy as they are personally leading major sponsorship and partnership conversations.

Requirements
You'll bring:
- A proven track record of generating commercial revenue through sponsorship, partnerships, and business development.
- Experience leading, and inspiring commercial teams.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and capitalise on new revenue opportunities.
- Outstanding relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- The credibility and presence to operate confidently with senior stakeholders, partners, and sponsors.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to deliver commercial growth in a fast-paced environment.
