The Opportunity
Breathe Technologies is a warehouse systems business combining systems integration and automation with our BreatheIQ software suite. We’re proud to be trusted by some of the UK’s most demanding warehouse and fulfilment operations including GXO, Specsavers, Roman and more.
BreatheIQ, our rapidly developing software platform is a major factor in our next phase of growth. From standalone SaaS modules to full system orchestration it plays a key role in customer acquisition, retention and growth.
We are appointing a Commercial Director to own the full commercial function of the business. This is not a sales management role. It is both a strategic commercial leadership appointment and active sales role at a defining moment in the business's development.
Role Overview
The Commercial Director has end-to-end ownership of the commercial function across all revenue streams. The postholder is a Senior Leadership Team member, working closely with the Founder to drive value. They join a newly designed collegiate SLT as a peer alongside other function leads, supported by an exceptional fractional executive layer.
The role carries direct responsibility for overall pipeline conversion, growth of BreatheIQ and contract retention and expansion. The postholder is expected to operate across all three revenue streams simultaneously, building commercial momentum to meet our long-term growth targets.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
