Commercial Directors - Why You Should Apply
Lead the whole commercial function: As Commercial Director for a global materials engineering manufacturer in South Wales, you'll report straight to the Managing Director and own both external sales and customer service.
- Prestigious clients, real variety: You'll lead solution-based sales to world-class businesses across aerospace, defence, energy and automotive. That means genuine variety day to day.
- A business investing in its future: A recent seven-figure investment in the site is strengthening its aerospace and defence supply chains, and the business has just been recognised at the regional manufacturing awards. Your plans will have real backing behind them.
- A global stage, close to home: You'll represent the business at a senior level in the UK and overseas, with travel at roughly one week a month.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
