Litigation Partner – Commercial Disputes

The Role

William James Recruitment is instructed on a confidential Partner-level opportunity with a rapidly expanding international law firm, acknowledged for its market-leading litigation, white-collar defence, and corporate advisory practices.

The firm is a full-service US law firm with offices across the United States and a recently launched London office, established to address rising client demand. The London disputes practice focuses on high-value, complex matters, merging the depth, international reach, and brand strength of a major US firm with the agility and autonomy of a boutique team.

The firm advises on sophisticated commercial litigation, civil fraud, white-collar matters, corporate investigations, and cross-border disputes for an international blue-chip client base. The platform intentionally accommodates a variety of disputes specialisms, including Partner candidates with well-established practices in:

  • Commercial litigation
  • Civil fraud
  • White-collar crime
  • Corporate investigations
  • Contentious specialisms (e.g., niche or complementary areas)

Compensation

  • Base draw – A healthy, competitive Partner stipend, typically aligned with Senior Associate salary levels
  • Client origination fees – Compensation as a percentage of revenues generated from clients personally originated, remitted lifetime regardless of future participation in matters
  • Discretionary bonus – Performance-linked allocation, reflecting both individual and team outcomes, with an aspiration to align with top-tier Partner compensation in the market
