Ealing Council have an exciting new opportunity as a Commercial Estate Surveyor available on a permanent basis.
Join Ealing Council’s Strategic Property and Investment team and play a key role in delivering meaningful outcomes for residents by optimising a diverse and high-impact property portfolio.

The Commercial Estate Surveyor role:
The Commercial Estate Surveyor supports the strategic management of the Council’s property portfolio, ensuring assets are effectively managed, income is optimised, and risks are reduced in line with professional best practice.
The role involves delivering estate management activities such as lease events, tenant management, and financial monitoring while providing expert property advice and contributing to improved commercial and socio-economic outcomes for the Council.

As the Commercial Estate Surveyor you will:
- Support the day-to-day management of the Council’s commercial property portfolio, including lease events, tenant matters, and void management to maximise income and reduce risk.
- Monitor budgets, review financial performance, and work with managing agents and consultants to ensure effective delivery of estate management services.
- Provide professional property advice, prepare reports and decisions, and contribute to strategic initiatives that improve financial and socio-economic outcomes.
Our ideal Commercial Estate Surveyor will have the below skills and experience:
- Strong knowledge of Commercial estate management, landlord and tenant legislation, and experience managing a mixed-use property portfolio and lease events.
- Proven ability to analyse property performance, manage budgets, advise on risk, and work effectively with agents, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and resilience, with a relevant degree (or equivalent experience) and RICS membership or working towards it.
- Commercial property management experience is essential.
