About the Role
Unique Window Systems is looking to recruit an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Estimator to join our Commercial Department at our Head Office in Leicester.
Working alongside and supporting the Pre-Construction Manager, you will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial fenestration projects. This position would suit an estimator with experience within construction, glazing, façades, curtain walling, aluminium systems, or the wider fenestration industry.

Key Responsibilities
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, schedules, and tender documentation.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, manufacturing, installation, and project-related expenses.
- Complete quantity take-offs and pricing exercises.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assist with the preparation and submission of tender packages.
- Support the Pre-Construction Manager in managing the tender process and pipeline.
- Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions.
- Liaise with Project Managers, Design, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams.
- Maintain estimating databases, pricing schedules, and cost records.
- Support the successful handover of awarded contracts to operational teams.
- Ensure compliance with Company procedures, Quality Management Systems, and Health & Safety requirements.

Required Experience & Skills
- Previous experience within an Estimating, Commercial, or Quantity Surveying role.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and tender documentation.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work to strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in industry standard Orgadata Logikal Software

Desirable
- Experience within the fenestration, glazing, curtain walling, façade, or construction industry.
- Knowledge of aluminium, PVCu, or timber window and door systems.
- Experience using estimating and ERP software.
- HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge in relevant Building Regulations and British Standards.
