Role Description

The Commercial Executive is a contract role responsible for supporting the commercial team in optimizing pub performance and delivering key business initiatives. Based in Chester with a hybrid working pattern, the role involves both office-based collaboration and some work from home. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Assisting with commercial analysis
  • Tracking promotional activity
  • Preparing reports and presentations
  • Following up on actions with internal teams and licensees

The Commercial Executive will help coordinate product and pricing updates, maintain accurate commercial data, and support customer-facing communications. The role also involves:

  • Liaising with licensees and suppliers
  • Responding to queries promptly
  • Ensuring high standards of customer service across the estate

  • Commercial and Commercial Management skills to support pricing, product mix, and performance analysis.
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage effectively with licensees, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Ability to manage Following Up activities, including tracking actions, deadlines, and commercial initiatives.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, or a similar commercial environment is beneficial.
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Relevant education or training in business, commerce, or a related field is an advantage.
