Job Description
Are you a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys partnering with sales teams, analysing performance and turning data into actionable insights?
We're looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join our high-performing UK Commercial Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving business performance, influencing key commercial decisions, and helping deliver ambitious growth plans across a leading consumer goods portfolio.
Working at the heart of the business, you'll partner closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing and Supply Chain teams, providing the analysis, challenge and financial insight needed to maximise profitability whilst supporting strong customer relationships.

What You'll Be Doing
Commercial Performance & Business Planning
- Monitor and track performance against volume, revenue, profit and rate-per-tonne targets
- Support the delivery of customer business plans through insightful analysis and reporting
- Provide regular commercial reporting including sales, promotional revenue, pricing and trade spend analysis
- Monitor revenue realisation and pricing execution to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Collaborate with sales teams to ensure trade spend is accurately managed and accrued
Promotional Investment & Financial Control
- Review promotional plans to ensure alignment with commercial and brand objectives
- Support promotion forecasting, pricing reviews and promotional profitability analysis
- Manage promotional databases and maintain data accuracy across systems
- Ensure financial governance and compliance processes are adhered to
- Support the management and submission of internal controls and SOX requirements
Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted finance partner to Sales teams, providing challenge, insight and recommendations
- Support decision-making through financial analysis and commercial evaluation
- Review trade spend accruals and investigate variances, claims and adjustments
- Partner with Marketing and Sales to support successful new product launches
- Influence cross-functional teams to deliver volume, revenue and gross profit targets
Forecasting & Continuous Improvement
- Support monthly forecasting, risk and opportunity reviews, and S&OP processes
- Contribute to key business routines including commercial reviews and customer planning cycles
- Work cross-functionally to improve processes, reporting and system effectiveness
- Help drive continuous improvement across commercial finance activities

Qualifications
What We're Looking For;
Essential Experience
- Previous experience within a Commercial Finance, Sales Finance or Financial Planning role
- Experience partnering with Sales teams within an FMCG / CPG environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide meaningful recommendations
- Confident communicator who can build credibility with a range of stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills and strong numerical capability
- Highly organised with excellent planning and prioritisation skills
- Ability to challenge constructively and influence business decisions
- Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset
- Unrestricted UK right to work
Desirable Experience
- SAP experience
- Trade accrual or trade promotion management systems
- XTEL knowledge
- Promotional planning experience within FMCG/CPG
