At Via, we're supporting a leading international consumer brand in the search for a Commercial Reporting Analyst to provide temporary support for an initial 6 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced analyst with strong Excel and reporting skills to step into a high-impact role, ensuring continuity of commercial insights and supporting decision-making across Finance, Operations and Commercial teams.

Pay Rate: £30–£45 per hour
Daily Rate: £240–£360 per day
Contract Length: 6 months
Location: Remote (UK/Europe)

The Opportunity

You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate sales reporting, analysing business performance and providing insights that support commercial decisions.

Working across large datasets and multiple reporting sources, you'll help ensure business leaders have access to reliable information around sales performance, customer channels, promotions and operational trends. This is an ideal role for a commercially minded analyst who can quickly understand complex data, identify trends and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

Sales Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Own weekly sales reporting and provide performance commentary
  • Support monthly business reviews with accurate reporting and insights
  • Analyse trends, risks and opportunities across commercial performance
  • Present findings to internal stakeholders when required

Data Management & Reporting Accuracy

  • Maintain and validate sales and operational data
  • Perform regular data checks to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Consolidate information from multiple data sources
  • Maintain master datasets including product, store and channel information
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues

Commercial Analytics

  • Analyse performance across different sales channels
  • Support evaluation of promotions, campaigns and product launches
  • Identify trends, anomalies and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide analysis to support forecasting and business planning
  • Respond to ad hoc commercial questions from stakeholders

Finance & Operational Support

  • Support monthly sales reporting and finance processes
  • Assist with promotional cost analysis and commercial planning
  • Provide reporting support to Operations and Development teams
  • Collaborate with Finance, Commercial and operational stakeholders

What They're Looking For

  • 3+ years' experience in finance, commercial analysis or reporting roles
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, data manipulation and reporting
  • Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders

Nice To Have

  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualisation tools
  • Basic SQL knowledge
  • Experience within retail, consumer, hospitality or QSR environments
  • Understanding of sales channels, promotions or commercial performance metrics
  • Finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
