Commercial Finance Analyst

Commercial Analyst – 6 Month Fixed Term

We are currently partnering with a successful and growing business near Dundee to recruit a Commercial Analyst to join their team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and commercially focused professional who enjoys turning data into actionable insights, influencing decision-making, and driving business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse commercial and financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes
  • Provide insight and recommendations to support commercial decision-making
  • Partner with stakeholders across multiple functions to improve business performance
  • Evaluate pricing, profitability, and margin performance across key areas of the business
  • Assist in the preparation of business cases and investment appraisals
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and data accuracy

About You

  • Previous experience in a Commercial Analyst, Financial Analyst, FP&A Analyst, or similar analytical role
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret complex data and provide clear recommendations
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large data sets
  • Experience using reporting and business intelligence tools would be advantageous
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business
  • Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline (preferred)
