Commercial Finance Analyst - Retail
Are you an analytically minded finance professional early in your career, looking for a role that will give you real exposure across commercial finance, reporting and business partnering within a well-known retail business?
This multi-brand retail business is looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join its London-based finance team.
This is a strong opportunity for someone with a finance or accountancy background who wants to build their experience in a commercially focused role. Sitting within the commercial finance function and reporting into senior finance leadership, this position offers broad exposure across reporting, forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis, while working closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

The business operates in a fast-paced retail environment, so they need someone who is numerically strong, naturally curious and comfortable working across large volumes of data.
What will you be doing? Supporting weekly and monthly trade reporting, analysing sales, margin and stock performance Producing variance analysis and helping ensure data accuracy across reporting Supporting store P&Ls, KPI tracking and wider commercial performance analysis Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and longer-term planning activity Preparing overhead reports, accruals and departmental budget tracking Contributing to board packs, financial submissions and wider management reporting Supporting ad hoc analysis, projects and continuous improvement across reporting processes

What would we love to see from you? Degree educated and/or studying towards an accounting qualification Strong numerical and analytical skills Good Excel capability A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities A confident communicator who can work effectively with non-finance stakeholders An interest in retail and trading performance Previous experience within finance, reporting or analysis at junior analyst level
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 + study support Location: Central London (3 days in office)
