As Commercial Finance Director, you will lead Commercial Finance across Awaze and play a key role in shaping how the business creates value.

You will sit at the heart of the business, influencing both short-term trading decisions and long-term strategic choices, reporting to the CFO and serving as a member of the Finance Leadership Team. You will help redefine the role of finance by leveraging automation, AI, and data-driven insights, shifting the function from retrospective reporting towards predictive analytics, value creation, and strategic influence.

We are looking for a leader who is as passionate about understanding the economics of customers, homeowners, products, and distribution channels as they are about mastering the numbers themselves.

A Role with Transformation at Its Core

Finance is evolving rapidly, with advancements in automation, AI, and data reshaping how the function supports the business. This position will play a leading role in this transformation, helping build a Commercial Finance team focused on:

  • Generating insight over reports
  • Challenging decisions for insight
  • Creating sustainable value

    • Strategic prioritisation
  • Shape the Commercial Finance agenda by:
    • Bringing visibility to revenue, profitability, cash generation, and shareholder value drivers
    • Developing a deeper understanding of customer, homeowner, destination, and channel economics
  • Guide forecasting, budgeting, trading outlooks, and scenario planning, ensuring the business-aligns risks with opportunities while maintaining performance clarity.

Financial & Commercial Stewardship

  • Evaluate strategic initiatives, investments, and growth opportunities, offering robust financial challenge and commercial insight
  • Drive value creation and strategic decision-making with a balanced perspective at both tactical and long-term scales
  • Leading the shift to a data-led, predictive approach, utilising:

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
