Commercial Finance Manager | Chorley | Paying up to £85k | Hybrid 3 days home + 2 days office
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Commercial Finance Manager to join a growing, private equity-backed business during a significant period of investment and expansion. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing finance function where you will play a key role in partnering with the wider business, influencing commercial decisions and helping drive the next phase of growth.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys operating beyond the numbers. You'll combine strong commercial finance expertise with the confidence to challenge, influence, and build relationships across the business, whilst helping to develop an already established finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational and commercial stakeholders to provide meaningful financial insight that supports strategic decision-making.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across key business areas.
- Deliver robust financial analysis, performance reporting, and variance commentary, providing clear recommendations to improve business performance.
- Build and maintain financial models to support pricing, investment decisions, business cases, and growth initiatives.
- Analyse profitability, revenue trends, and key performance indicators to identify commercial opportunities and risks.
- Challenge assumptions and provide financial insight to support operational improvements and maximise profitability.
- Support the development of reporting frameworks, dashboards, and management information to improve decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, reporting, and commercial analysis.
- Coach and support members of the finance team, helping to develop capability and encourage best practice.
- Work closely with senior leadership, contributing to strategic projects as the business continues to grow.

About You
We're looking for an individual who combines strong technical and commercial finance capability with the ambition to continue developing their career.
Ideally, you have:
- Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
- Proven experience within a Commercial Finance, Finance Business Partner, or FP&A environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Experience producing budgets, forecasts, financial models, and commercial analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge constructively and present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- A proactive, pragmatic approach with the energy to identify opportunities and drive improvements.
- Previous experience supporting or mentoring junior team members would be advantageous.
