Commercial Finance Manager–Investment Management - London (West End)

We are recruiting for a qualified Commercial Finance Manager to join a Private Credit & Real Estate focused investment group based in the West End of London.

This is a newly created, senior role, offering full ownership of the finance function across a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction group.

The firm operates a 4-days-in-office / Friday-from-home model.

The Role

You’ll lead the finance function day-to-day, taking full responsibility for reporting, controls, analysis, and stakeholder management across lending, brokerage, real-estate, and operating-asset activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and run the finance function across the Group
  • Own Board and investor reporting, including narrative, analysis, and performance drivers
  • Drive commercial portfolio analysis across deals, borrowers, and investors
  • Manage relationships with advisers, lenders, and external service providers
  • Oversee all tax, regulatory, and statutory obligations
  • Lead financial delivery on development activities (drawdowns, covenants, monitoring surveyors, lender coordination)
  • Own forward-looking planning including cash flow, liquidity, and scenario analysis
  • Develop systems, controls, and reporting to support a growing, increasingly complex business
  • Operate as the senior finance lead, reducing reliance on the CFO

About you

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to interpret performance, risk, and returns
  • Strong technical grounding in reporting, tax, and audit
  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders (lenders, auditors, advisers)
  • Proactive, solutions-driven, and comfortable operating independently
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to understand the broader business context
  • Experience in financial services and multi-entity environments
