About NextStep
NextStep connects top consulting talent with high-potential opportunities through smart, AI-powered matching. We partner with ambitious companies across sectors to place experienced professionals in roles where they can have a real impact. On behalf of a client in our partner network, we are currently looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join their team.
About The Company
Our client is a rapidly growing direct-to-consumer health and wellness brand headquartered in London, selling across its own website, Amazon, and major UK and European retailers. With revenues of £60m and ambitious plans to reach £150m over the next three years, the business is investing in its commercial finance capability to sharpen its decision-making on pricing, channel investment, and new product launches. The CFO is looking for a commercially minded finance leader who can partner directly with the Sales and Marketing functions.
The Role
As Commercial Finance Manager, you will act as the primary finance partner to the Sales and Marketing teams, providing the analysis, challenge, and insight that drives better commercial decisions. You will own the P&L for key channels and customer accounts, lead investment appraisals for new initiatives, and ensure the business has a clear, real-time view of margin performance across its product range.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

- Strong financial modelling skills and experience building channel P&Ls, promotional ROI models, and business case frameworks.
