Job Title
You'll own revenue recognition, forecasting, budgeting and profitability analysis, working shoulder to shoulder with commercial and operations to build, price and stress-test tenders before they go out the door. Just as importantly, you'll follow them afterwards: checking that the margin we approved is the margin we actually earn.
This is a role for someone comfortable applying professional objectivity — challenging assumptions, questioning pricing, and pushing the business toward better customer profitability and a tighter order-to-cash process.
What you'll be doing
Commercial delivery
- Develop a detailed understanding of our performance drivers, pricing mechanisms, contracts and competitive position across UK & Ireland
- Build a robust toolbox of measures, ratios and internal/external benchmarks to bring rigour to the tender process
- Partner with commercial to build the models and yardsticks used to complete RFPs and critique proposals
- Conduct post-tender implementation audits, confirming delivered margin against approved documentation

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
