Commercial Financial Controller | London | PE Backed Real Estate/Property | £70,000 to £100,000 + Bonus & Package

Our client is a high-growth, private equity-backed Commercial Operational Real Estate/Property business. The role offers hybrid working, based near West London.

Operating in a dynamic SME environment, the business is embarking on an buy-and-build strategy with a number of further acquisitions in the pipeline. As they scale toward an eventual PE exit over the next few years, they are looking for a high-calibre, FC to take full ownership of the function, bring rigour and structure, and drive the modernisation of the business, including getting the business through to successful sale.

We are very open to more junior, high calibre candidates who are wanting to step up and be mentored into a strong Commercial FC/FD. Ideally you will have worked for a large fund PE portfolio company.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
