COMMERICAL GAS ENGINEER

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial gas systems across various sites. This role requires a strong technical background, practical experience with mechanical and plumbing systems, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair commercial gas appliances and systems in accordance with industry regulations and safety standards
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure optimal operation of gas equipment
- Diagnose faults and perform necessary repairs efficiently and effectively
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical tools to carry out tasks
- Perform plumbing tasks related to gas systems, including pipe fitting and assembly
- Carry out basic carpentry work as needed for installation or maintenance purposes
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Assist in the assembly of new equipment or system components on-site
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and company policies

Skills
- Proven experience with welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly work
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to gas systems and associated machinery
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during installations or repairs
- Valid commercial driving licence is desirable for site travel or transporting equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment while maintaining high safety standards
- Must have Gas Safe
- Must drive
