Commercial Gas Engineer

£42,000-£47,000 + On-Call Retainer + Overtime + Company Vehicle

Chester (Mobile Role)

Full-Time | Permanent

We're looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a growing Facilities Management business supporting major retail sites across the Chester region.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company with long-term contracts, a supportive team and a regional patch that allows you to manage your own workload while enjoying the variety of a mobile role.

You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial gas systems across multiple retail sites, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and fully operational. If you're looking for a stable role with plenty of autonomy and opportunities to increase your earnings through overtime and on-call work, we'd like to hear from you.

The Role:

You'll travel between retail sites within your region, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and servicing on a range of commercial gas appliances and systems.

  • Working independently throughout the day, you'll be supported by an experienced scheduling and operations team while delivering a high standard of service to customers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
