Commercial Gas Engineer - South London

Sureserve Compliance South – Commercial Gas Engineer

About the Role: The Sureserve Group delivers market-leading compliance and energy services across the UK. Sureserve Compliance South, part of the Sureserve Group, supports the social housing sector in London & the Southeast, offering domestic gas, commercial gas, renewables, and electrical services. We are London’s largest gas contractor, providing long-term contracts with job security and progression opportunities.

What We Offer You

  • Hours: 40 hours (8am–5pm, Monday–Friday) + call-outs (max. 1 in every 4 weeks)
  • Pay: Salary range starting from £45–55k DOE, with call-outs and overtime pushing the OTE to £70k

Responsibilities

The Commercial Engineer will:

  • Install, maintain, and repair commercial gas systems and appliances across diverse environments
  • Ensure all work is conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current regulations and standards
  • Work closely with engineering teams to provide technical solutions for clients
  • Must hold a COCN1 gas qualification and experience in commercial gas heating and hot water systems

Note: Tasks may expand beyond this list to cover the scope of the role.


Requirements

  • Essential:
    • COCN1 or CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCPIA, or TPCP1 qualifications
    • Valid Gas Safe Registration
    • Full UK driving licence (mandatory)
    • Bold attitude, able to build relationships with clients and tenants
    • Proven experience as a commercial gas engineer
    • Strong technical knowledge of heating systems, pipework, and controls
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

    • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent
    • HNTAS/CP1 awareness
