Position Overview
As a Commercial Gas Heating Test Technician, your role is to deliver exceptional maintenance standards to ensure products are set up, adjusted, and tested efficiently before hire or installation. Your focus will be on the preparation, maintenance, and testing of hire, heating equipment, burners, boilers, and extras.
The goal is to maximise productivity, elevate customer experiences, and improve operational technical processes.

Key Responsibilities
Customer & Technical Focus
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues while servicing and testing equipment.
- Collaborate with hire and service desks, Sales, and Operations teams to share key customer insights.
- Utilise the latest software and technology, alongside a variety of hand tools, to follow blueprints or engineering specifications for diagnosing and repairing units.
- Implement modifications based on specific customer needs.
- Provide updates to supervisors, regional hire & operations managers, senior technicians, and customers to drive continuous improvement.
Internal Controls & Administration
- Strong grasp of customer service principles.
- Effective communication and analytical skills, coupled with valuable problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic apps, software, and the MS Office Suite.

Skills & Capabilities Required
- Industry knowledge (Bonus: Background in manufacturing).
- Strong people and communication skills with a proactive and positive mindset.
- Valid F-Gas and Commercial Gas Safe CCN1 certificates.
- Must be prepared for depot standby and call-outs, including weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays as scheduled.
- Benefits if you have a forklift licence; however, it’s not mandatory.
- Valid UK driving licence required (company vehicle supplied).
- Right to Work status confirmed for the relevant country.
