Based near JCB World Headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire, we’re a team of dedicated insurance experts committed to delivering tailored insurance solutions to our clients—all backed by exceptional customer service.


About the Role

The Commercial Insurance New Business Team Leader will lead, coach, and develop a team of Direct Sales Coordinators, ensuring:

  • Achievement of new business targets
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Full compliance with FCA regulations
  • Effective workflow management
  • Performance monitoring and team development

Daily Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of Direct Sales staff to meet individual and team sales targets
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring:
    • Timely handling of inbound enquiries, digital leads, and referrals
    • Performance monitoring with regular feedback via 1:1s and team meetings
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
  • Address escalated queries and complex cases, ensuring swift resolutions and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with:
    • Underwriting partners
    • Internal stakeholders
    • To optimise conversion rates
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • FCA regulations
    • Internal procedures
  • Contribute to:
    • Strategic planning
    • Continuous improvement initiatives

Ideal Candidate

This role is suited to individuals with:

  • Experience in Commercial Insurance, preferably with a Broker (Cert CII preferred but not mandatory)
  • Leadership experience in a sales or customer service setting
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills, with a passion for developing others
  • A driven customer service mindset and flexibility to work:
    • Independently
    • As part of a team
  • A keen eye for accuracy and detail, even under pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
