Business Manager (Vice President) – Corporate & Investment Bank Operations Business Management
About the Role
Join us as a Business Manager at the center of driving AI and technology transformation initiatives for Operations. You’ll partner with senior leaders, influence strategy, and deliver measurable outcomes in a collaborative, inclusive environment where you can grow your career, develop your skills, and make a meaningful impact.
As the Vice President (VP) within Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Operations Business Management, you will:
- Drive the strategy, governance, and execution of priority transformation initiatives across CIB Operations, including the ambitious Vision 2030 agenda.
- Partner with senior leaders across Front Office, Operations, Finance, Technology, and Business Management to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps, deliver tangible results, and provide executive-level transparency on progress, risks, and value delivery.
This role requires a strategic, execution-focused leader with: ✔ Strong governance discipline ✔ Excellent stakeholder management skills ✔ Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a complex, global organization
Key Responsibilities
Transformation & Delivery Leadership
- Drive execution, governance, and acceleration of strategic transformation initiatives across CIB Operations, ensuring delivery against scope, timeline, budget, and business outcomes.
- Operationalize delivery plans by maintaining clear milestones, dependencies, success metrics, and executive reporting.
Cross-Functional Governance & Coordination
- Run effective governance forums, operating rhythms, and decision cadences to:
- Drive accountability, transparency, and rapid decision-making
- Surface and unblock bottlenecks
- Proactively manage delivery health across the portfolio, tracking:
- Progress
- Adoption and benefits realization
- Risks, issues, dependencies, and controls
- Timely escalation and resolution
- Deliver executive-ready communications, including:
- Progress updates
- Trade-off analyses
- Issue escalations
- Decision papers and recommended actions

Stakeholder Alignment & Thought Leadership
- Enable cross-functional coordination by:
- Building alignment across stakeholders
- Clarifying roles and responsibilities
- Driving follow-through across teams
- Support thought leadership on topics such as:
- Workforce of the Future
- Skills & learning
- Engagement and communications strategies
- Value/ROI measurement
- Developing crisp narratives, perspectives, and executive artifacts
Strategic Support to Senior Leadership
- Partner with the Managing Director and CIB Operations CFO to:
- Drive execution of the CFO-sponsored strategic priorities and "book of work"
- Align on planning, stakeholder alignment, governance, and executive communications
- Support the wider CIB Operations senior management team by:
- Enabling alignment across priorities
- Representing the CFO office in key forums
- Strengthening consistent messaging and execution discipline
- Own operating cadence for priority initiatives, ensuring:
- Quarterly planning and progress reviews
- Clear follow-through on decisions
- Timely escalation of risks and dependencies
Required Qualifications, Capabilities & Skills
Essential Criteria
✅ Bachelor’s degree (required) ✅ Relevant experience managing large-scale transformation initiatives ✅ Financial services, strategy consulting, or technology background, ideally in:
- Strategy
- Transformation
- Business management or chief operating office (COO) roles
- Chief of staff roles ✅ Proven ability to:
- Lead complex cross-functional initiatives
- Engage, influence, and build relationships with senior executives and stakeholders ✅ Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to:
- Simplify complex topics for senior audiences
- Drive data-driven decision-making ✅ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, including:
- Tracking performance, risks, dependencies, and outcomes ✅ High proficiency in:
- PowerPoint (executive material development)
- Excel (analysis, reporting)
- Analytical tools (data insights) ✅ Comfortable with:
- Ambiguity and competing priorities
- Fast-paced, results-driven environments
