About The Role
We're looking for a Commercial Lawyer to join our Legal team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a diverse range of commercial matters, partnering with stakeholders across the business to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice. You'll play a key role in drafting and negotiating contracts, managing legal risk, and supporting the business to achieve its objectives, while working closely with the Head of Legal Services.

What You'll Be Doing
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of customer and supplier contracts.
- Providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to colleagues across the business throughout contract negotiations and delivery.
- Advising on the interpretation and application of commercial agreements.
- Updating and maintaining precedent contracts, templates and terms and conditions to ensure they remain fit for purpose.
- Keeping abreast of changes in relevant legislation and ensuring the business is informed of any implications.
- Providing day-to-day legal advice across a variety of operational and commercial matters.
- Working closely with the Head of Legal Services, escalating matters where appropriate and keeping them informed of key developments.

About You
- You will have a minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience in commercial law – ideally gained within a retail environment
- Able to handle own workload with minimal supervision
- Confident and self-motivated
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
