Commercial Lead
London (flexible) | Full-time | Reports to CEO & Founder
About BeCertain
BeCertain is building the AI-native software platform for dental practices, transforming workflows with intelligent automation and decision support. Founded as a spin-out from King’s College London and the University of Surrey, we’ve recently completed our pre-seed fundraising and are shaping the future of dental software.
The Opportunity
This is the first dedicated commercial hire—join us at a pivotal moment as we launch with a product built, commercial architecture in progress, and go-to-market strategy taking shape. You won’t inherit a rigid playbook; instead, you’ll shape, stress-test, and evolve it through real conversations with practice owners, clinical leads, and corporate decision-makers.
Working closely with the CEO (with increasing board exposure as you prove impact), you’ll collaborate with an experienced team—not go alone. Expect to own outcomes, pivot nimbly, and thrive in ambiguity.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution
• Drive the full end-to-end sales process (prospecting → close) across all segments: • Independent practices • Group clinical directors • Corporate DSOs • PMS channel partners • Manage sales pipeline and funnel (lead gen → nurture → deal closure), including: • Warm introductions + contract negotiations • Personal visits to practices (face-to-face demos in clinical settings) • Corporate/enterprise partnerships (longer cycles, committee decisions) • Lead weekly sales reviews and governance reports to the CEO • Scale the team when the time is right: First, excel independently; then, build and grow a high-performing team
Process & Infrastructure
• Define/refine sales process frameworks, testing what works and what needs iteration • Implement CRM processes with clear pipeline visibility, reporting, and tracking • Prioritise key accounts, create strategic plans, and track progression • Build/manage lead tracking and attribution across channels (commercial + marketing)

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
