Commercial Lead / Development Director – European C&I Energy Solutions

We're partnering exclusively with one of Europe's fastest-growing clean energy platforms to appoint a Commercial Lead who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of commercial and industrial (C&I) renewable energy across Europe.

Backed by one of the most influential names in the energy transition, this business has ambitious plans to deploy significant capital over the next five years, building one of Europe's leading behind-the-meter energy platforms. With an established presence across the UK and mainland Europe, they are rapidly expanding into new markets, technologies, and strategic partnerships.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional business development role.

Instead, we're looking for a commercially astute leader who can identify and unlock new market opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and help shape the route-to-market strategy across multiple European territories.

  • Work closely with senior leadership, customers, investors, and partners, helping to accelerate growth through collaboration rather than pure sales.
  • The role combines commercial strategy, partnership development, market expansion, and business development, making it ideal for someone who enjoys operating at the intersection of all four.
  • As the business continues to diversify beyond traditional solar and battery projects into wider distributed energy solutions, you'll play a key role in influencing how new opportunities are identified, evaluated, and executed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
