Short Description

The Home & TV business manages one of BT Consumer’s largest hardware investment portfolios, supporting millions of customers through broadband, TV and connectivity products.

As Commercial Lead (Hardware), you'll lead forecasting, planning and commercial decision-making across the portfolio, ensuring customer demand, supply plans and investment strategy remain aligned. Working across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Commercial and Product teams, you'll use data, insight and commercial judgement to influence major business decisions, optimise costs and improve portfolio performance.

This is a highly visible role for someone who enjoys solving complex commercial challenges, challenging established thinking and driving better business outcomes through effective planning and strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead forecasting, demand planning and commercial governance across the Home & TV hardware portfolio, driving forecast accuracy, clear accountability and effective decision-making.
  • Partner with Product, Commercial, Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to align demand, supply and investment plans.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise value, reduce costs and balance customer outcomes, growth ambitions and financial objectives.
  • Act as the strategic planning and value optimisation SME, providing independent challenge and trusted advice on investment decisions, portfolio strategy and business cases.
  • Optimise CPE investment, inventory and asset performance, including refurbishment, recovery and lifecycle management activities.
  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations that improve planning, governance and commercial outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement across forecasting, planning and governance processes by challenging established thinking and ways of working.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across Product, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Technology and Operations to create alignment and deliver business outcomes.

Essential Skills / Experience

  • Experience leading commercial planning, forecasting, demand planning or supply planning activities, using data and insight to inform strategic and commercial decision-making.
  • Strong commercial, financial and analytical capability, with experience evaluating investment decisions, managing forecasts and identifying opportunities to optimise value, reduce cost and improve business performance.
  • Proven ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels, driving cross-functional alignment and delivering improvements to forecasting, governance, planning processes or operating models.

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • Experience within telecommunications, consumer technology, consumer electronics or retail environments.
  • Experience managing hardware, device or technology portfolios.
  • Experience working across Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Commercial and Product functions.
