Commercial Lead (M&E) Jersey £100,000 - £120,000 + Accommodation Provided + Excellent Benefits
Lead the commercial delivery of a landmark major project in Jersey.
Premises Recruitment is working with a leading international main contractor to recruit an experienced Commercial Lead (M&E) for a major flagship development in Jersey.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, or Commercial Lead with a strong M&E background to take ownership of the commercial delivery of all mechanical and electrical packages on a high-profile project.
The Role
Working as part of the senior project team, you'll be responsible for the financial and contractual management of the M&E works, ensuring commercial performance is maximized while maintaining excellent relationships with clients, consultants, and specialist subcontractors.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the commercial management of all M&E packages.
- Procuring and managing specialist subcontractors and suppliers.
- Preparing and managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
- Administering contracts under NEC, JCT, or bespoke forms of contract.
- Managing valuations, variations, change control, and final accounts.
- Identifying and managing commercial risks.
- Leading and mentoring Quantity Surveyors and commercial team members.
- Working closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams to deliver commercial success.
- Providing commercial support during procurement and pre-construction where required.

About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, or Commercial Lead with a recognised main contractor.
- Strong experience managing Mechanical & Electrical packages on major construction projects.
- Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge.
- Experience working under NEC and/or JCT contracts.
- Strong procurement, cost management, and forecasting skills.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- RICS, CIOB, or equivalent qualification (desirable).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- A proactive approach with strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.

Location
This role is based full-time in Jersey.
Accommodation is provided, and candidates have the option to relocate and benefit from Jersey's 20% income tax, or travel home at weekends while remaining UK tax resident.
